PMHC have a range of activities and celebrations taking place on Australia Day in 2021, all across our region!
There is plenty on the calendar of activities for the entire family to enjoy.
The 2021 Australia Day events are assisted by the NSW Government and the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council.
PMHC 2021 Australia Day Official Ceremony:
Our community are invited to attend the annual Australia Day Official Ceremony FREE event, taking place in the Glasshouse on 26th January 2021.
Join us in celebrating the deserving locals within our community who go above and beyond through the PMHC Australia Day Awards.
The 2021 Port Macquarie-Hastings Australia Day Awards will be awarded in the following categories:

Young Citizen of the Year:

Senior Citizen of the Year:
* Gordon Gray

Citizen of the Year:

Environmental Citizen of the Year:
* Judy Love
* Susan Baker
Community Group of the Year:
* Fellowship of Australian Writers: Port Macquarie-Hastings
* Friends of Mrs York’s Garden
* Port Macquarie Rotary Club
* NSW RFS - Lake Cathie Brigade
* The Hastings Education Fund
* Wauchope Show Society Ltd.
Come along and show your support to both our 2021 PMHC Australia Day Award nominees and our community members as they take their final step in officially becoming Australian Citizens.
Doors to the theatre open at 9.15am with the ceremony commencing at 9.30am.
Tickets are available via the Glasshouse from 11th January 2021 by calling (02) 6581 8888, or by visiting the customer service desk. Please note there will be no tickets available on the day of the event.
Bookings are essential to this ticketed FREE event as numbers strictly limited due to current NSW Health regulations.
Unlike previous year’s there will be no official ceremony held at Wauchope or Laurieton in 2021.
Efforts to Livestream the 2021 Australia Day Official Ceremony are currently being made to make the ceremony available for members of the public to view if they cannot make the official ceremony.

Video Not Available 12.15PM 26-01-21 : Replay of the PMHC Australia Day event video appears to have been 'Blocked' by Sony Muusic (SME) because it apparently contains unlicensed music. We will leave it available here for a while to see if it becomes available during the course of the day.
