News Story Summary:
The 49-year-old was charged with the common assault of Orly Lavee after NSW Police were called to a unit at Randwick, in Sydney's eastern suburbs, in late January.
Waverley Local Court today heard Mr O'Keefe had been further charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm relating to the same incident, and a charge of common assault over a separate incident in Kangaroo Valley on January 20.
The court had previously heard Mr O'Keefe would apply to have the matter dealt with under mental health legislation.
However, his lawyer Kara Greiner agreed at the last hearing that an "indicative" plea of guilty could be noted for the initial charge, in the event of the application failing.
Mr O'Keefe is yet to enter a plea for the fresh charges and facts are still yet to be agreed.
Neither Mr O'Keefe, who is receiving treatment at The Sydney Clinic, nor his lawyer were present at today's hearing as he was excused from attending.
Mr O'Keefe has most recently hosted The Chase Australia on Channel Seven, but is no longer with the company.
Mr O'Keefe was a co-founder of domestic violence charity White Ribbon.
An apprehended domestic violence order will remain in place.
The matter has been adjourned until June.
