Scared Of Commitment ? 'Pop-Up' Volunteering Has Landed
Lifeline Mid Coast continues its reputation as one of Australia's most innovative centres, announcing the introduction of its "Pop In" volunteering program

Lifeline Mid Coast realises that people are getting busier and their time is more in demand than ever before. Lifeline is consistently short of Shop Volunteers and has imagined a program where people who can't commit to regular volunteering, but who want to help their community, can "Pop In" to a shop and volunteer.

Lifeline Mid Coast are now offering volunteer opportunities on this basis across their retail centres.

If members of the public have a spare hour or half an hour, they can drop into any Lifeline Mid Coast shop without notice and will be given a task to do in that time frame. It might be sorting clothing, rearranging shelves, merchandising or vacuuming. It depends on the requirements of the shop at that moment.

Studies show that people who volunteer are happier and live longer. Their gift of time and energy creates a positive outcome for their community and contributes to a vibrant and caring environment.

Your local Lifeline Shop is run by experienced professional retail managers who are supported by volunteers. There is a role for everyone; from retail assistant, sorter, merchandiser, cashier, cleaner, furniture lifting, pricing and much more.

By volunteering you meet wonderful people and gain new skills whilst helping vulnerable people within your community. Funds raised through the shops go to suicide prevention and awareness programs.

This low commitment volunteer role is the perfect opportunity for anyone who is enthusiastic about giving value back to their community. No experience is required as all volunteers are provided with training.

Lifeline Mid Coast is seeking self-sufficient, friendly and enthusiastic people with the ability to get on with people and work in a team.

Give back to your community on your own terms. For more information contact Jemma on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or phone 0437 170 270.
