Troye Sivan 'What's The Time Where You Are?'

Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan released his third studio album “Something to Give Each Other” this October, it is his first album since the 2018 release of “Bloom”.

The album comprises 10-track, featuring a guest appearance from Spanish singer and guitarist Guitarricadelafuente.

“I don't really want to tell people stories. I want to show them. I want them to feel.” Troye said.

He continued, “There' are 10 stories, 10 moments. It ended up serving the album really well because it gave me time to see which songs stuck around. I've felt very hopeful and joyous and connected, but there's a lot of vulnerability as well.”

“I felt pretty emotionally dead for a while after my last relationship, and my feelings didn't all come back in one go."

"There were these little sparks I started to feel, and I was so excited when I did. I was talking to this one person and I had a little crush for the first time in ages."

"At one point i got a messaged saying, 'What's the time where you are?' Maybe I over-romanticized, but it was so sweet. Because you could definitely just google that."

"But I saw it for what it was, I think: It was an effort at connection and keeping the conversation going."

"It sparked this idea of two people separated by a great distance, both out there living their lives, having a great time, but looking for each other in music or texts or things like that.”

He added, “The world can be a scary, dark, sad place. I really hope this music can bring everybody even the tiniest bit of joy this week, and into the future. Thank you for listening, watching, loving, responding. There's so many people in the world, so many experiences, so much pleasure in you, and all around us. Let yourself enjoy.”
